ok, i have tmobile, and it's been really sucky lately. it works better out of country than it does at my house! :p

Anyways, I called them, and they said they'll fix the problem, and for causing me trouble, they added on 60 minutes to my existing 600 minutes plan...well, they fixed it for a day, but now it's all sucky again, and im getting dropped calls....should i call them again? is there a way i can cancel w/o paying those huge fees?

Maybe your phone is on the fritz?
If you are outside the 2-week "grace period" I think you are screwed.
Many places will prorate the ETF based on how much time is left (so if you have 2 months left on a 1-year contract with a $300 ETF, they will only charge you for 2 X 300 / 12).

your phone may be on the fritz... when my old panasonic bit the dust it just stopped connecting to calls and dropping the ones it did connect to. it would still show service and stuff though.

Why are you posting on anandtech to ask questions that you should be asking T-Mobile? The $200 per line ETF is there in your contract. You signed it, so you're bound to it. They won't let you out of that contract, period. I used to work for them.

One thing you could do is stop by your local dealer and talk to a manager. If the manager is willing, you might be able to do something like leave your old phone and a credit card there at the store to "borrow" another phone. See if the manager will let you put your SIM card into the new phone and borrow it for a day or two to see if that makes a difference.

If it's been less than 12 months since you first got the phone you're using, call T-Mobile and ask for a handset exchange for a faulty handset (phone).

Dude those 3650's are freakin SWEET. I used to have one before I got my Sidekick Color. The 3650 has one of the strongest signal strengths that you're going to find, unless you've got a faulty phone. Call in and as them to check the Coverage Map for signal strength around where you are. Ask things like how far away you are from the nearest cell tower, how far you have to go before the signal strength in your area gets better or worse, etc. You might just be in a shiotty part of the country. You can also ask things like if there are any new cell towers going in your city and how soon. If any are planned for construction, you'll get answers like within 3 months or within 6 months for construction completion.

Customer Care has a lot more information than most people realize. :)
