Pretty sure Verizon bought out Vodafone's share for some ridiculous number of billions?
TMobile's move is great. I don't expect to see VZW follow suit.

I'm loving Tmobile in Socal right now. Most of the time I get a decent signal/speed via LTE. Can't wait to go to Canada and not have to worry about roaming fees for sending out texts, using data. Does this apply to phone calls as well? HMMM
People, it's free Edge data... It's better than nothing but don't get too excited rofl
The free roaming SMS however, that is something good. And the low voice costs are good too.
Edge data is enough to check email, use Google Navigation, and read news on Google Currents, and browse Tapatalk when visiting a foreign country.People, it's free Edge data... It's better than nothing but don't get too excited rofl

You should have wifi at airports....
I never said it's not useful, but at Edge speeds they have you under control. You are basically funnelled into barely using any data because your connection is so slow that you will barely use your phone. Facetime? forget about it. Skype? probably not. Even something trivial like sending a photo over email becomes a 5 minute ordeal unless you resize it to a tiny resolution. Just about the only thing you can do is plain emails, IM, and probably reading a few light websites. So like I said, nice to have but nothing to get excited about... When they let us use our services internationally like we do at home (or at least as fast as the local infrastructure can provide), we can call it true free roaming.
Lmao I can tell you from experience you do not get free wifi at airports. I think the only airport I had free wifi was in Dublin. Paris gave me an hour free but I had multiple devices so I was able to get an hour on each.
