Derek Fisher at point?

That's the rumor...

Nah, once the Lakers bring in Rudy T and he convinces Shaq to stay D Fish will come back too. 😀

There is NO way shaq is going to say after LA dissed him like that. 2 time finals MVP and they say they'll do ANYTHING to keep kobe while trade we'll make every effort to trade shaq? haha

are right to update the houston line up:

i have

yao
jim jackson
tmac
jhoward
fisher

for those that said shaq would be going to orlando, i dont know how they would pull that off without taking grant hills contract (salary cap crap)

Houston don't need freaking T-Mac another overrated Kobe like ball hog. Cutino Mobely was a good scorer and Stevie Francise is fast becoming one of the best point guard. Everybody loses in this trade I think.

The problem I could see with T-Mac is that he's a scorer, but Van Gundy likes to work the ball around in the offense and get everyone involved. Also, Van Gundy likes to work the ball through Yao, so it will be interesting to see if he decides to change it up and work through T-Mac or stay with the current scheme and continue to work through Yao.

Fisher can probably stay in LA & be a backup to Gary Payton again (he's staying, picked up his 2nd year today) or start in Houston w/ T-mac & Yao. I think Fisher is going to Houston.

I think it's a mistake the rockets let Cato go.
He really helps Yao out.

I don't really think tmac can fit with Yao Ming. If there is any way to get steve nash and a decent scorer for T-mac, a sign and trade may be?

Rumor has it that Francis doesn't want to play in Orlando, so magic is thinkin about another possible trade with sonics for Ray Allen.

The Pistons are a one-time championship team. They were essentially built to match up well against the Lakers but I have serious doubts whether they would have beat the Spurs (choked), or a healthy Wolves (injuries). Even still, outside of the Pistons and possibly Indiana, the Eastern Playoff teams simply don't stand a chance. Now w/ McGrady on the West, it just gets even more imbalanced.

Houston still need a PG. If they make Lue a starter.. hahahahha.

Regardless, if Kobe goes to the Spurs, its all over. There is no 1-2 punch out there that can match Duncan and Kobe.

I agree with you. Yao's stamina isn't that good and he gets into foul trouble sometime. Houston needs an active big man who can back Yao up and help with rebounding. Howard isn't a center and he is kinda soft around the basket. He won't be able to help out defending opponent's big man. The other Houston big men are all under sized and more suitable to play PF.

Tmac is OK but he takes shots away from Yao, plus Houston still got a big hole to fill with the PG position. It will be great if Houston can get a good PG and a 2G instead of one super scorer.

It's gonna be tough for Houston to win with the current combination, with lack of a PG and a backup big man. If Houston doesn't win right away, maybe T-Mac is gonna whine again and demand another trade.

Shaq is still demanding a trade, and they will be forced to take the best offer, which will probably come from Dallas, and it wont include Dirk or Steve. LA will do it, just so they will get value, and not just let Shaq leave as a FA at the end of next year.

Nash is likely signing with Dallas. If not Dallas, it will be Pheonix. The reports of him being disgruntled with the Mavs are false.

how are the Pistons a one-time championship team?

their entire team is VERY young. They won a championship with a brand new coach/system and less than half a season with their current line-up. assuming they keep free agents, i don't see why they aren't a favorite to win it all again.

And let's not forget about that small guy on the bench named Darko. Plus the other Euro we have coming in 😉

I think that this is just the beginning. The Rockets should have no problem picking up a decent PG on the FA market.

Who would not want to play with both Yao and Tmac?

Rumor has it that the Bulls are interested in Juwan Howard, too. 😀

Tyronne Lue should be a serviceable PG. All he needs to do is realize he's last scoring option, unlike Steve Francis who never seemed to let Yao be 1st option. If T-Mac can defer to Yao first, Houston's gonna be scary.

Except Tmac is a bigger ball hog than Steve

we'll see if T-Mac is genuine in his desire to win. there was an interesting conversation on our local AM sports radio. they were talking about NBA's "fake" superstars. guys who put up 20+ points per game, but don't make their teammates and team better.

Steve Francis was regarded as a "fake" superstar. other guys noted were Vince Carter, Paul Pierce, and they debated about T-Mac.

what do you guys think?
