TLC's Overhaulin'

Rudee

Since TLC is quickly turning into the "home renovation" channel, it's only saving grace has been the show Overhaulin'. Chip Foose is so talented, just watching this guy sketch out car with a marker and paper beforehand is almost worth watching just for that. The changes the design teams make in only 7 days are nothing short of remarkable. I prefer this kind of show to the shows the likes of OCC and Monster Garage.

I saw the old Ford they did at a recent car show, and it looked great even up close. Amazing what they did in 7 days!!! :Q

I am amazed when he sits down to sketch out a car and then MAGIC, it 's unbelieveable to watch him sketch out a car. I'd love to work for him.

Even being able to sketch like him is a pure talent.

2nd season started today, 9 p.m. est.

Moving Day

Connie and Pete are both stunned when brought to Overhaulin' to see what awaits them. ?64 Corvette owner Connie Eastman has stored her prize Chevy away for years, but when The A-Team swipes it while she is at work, surprises for the couple get underway...

That is a pretty good show.

It would be a great show if one of the errant shop hands would grab the nearest tire iron and pummel the life out of the ditzy hostess, and the moronic host. They could get some bonus points for putting the heads on sticks and parading them through the streets, while dragging the lifeless bodies behind the newest car they have built.

Thats probably not going to happen, but allow me my fantasy.

Yeah I've seen the show. Pretty tight. I like the pimp my ride bunch better, but I think they do a better job on overhaulin. They actually do work to the engine and stuff.

One thing I really admire is how clean the engine compart is. The must remove all accessories to have it that clean. Just look at the pics at his web site. Really great.

Overhaulin' - July 20 episode.
Cherry Nova
60 mins.

The owner of a '67 Nova thinks her car has been towed, but it's actually being rehabbed by the team.

the thing about getting the car done in 7 days, is that the amount of detailed attention paid to the car compared to the ones they take a few months to build is HUGE. the cars arent quite as up to par as you would think, atleast i dont think they would be. i mean, yea they are great looking and working, just might not be as perfect everywhere as you would think.

also, keeping wires out of older cars is not as hard. take a look at any stock older car, and compare to todays, there is a HUGE difference, just because of the computer itself.

LMFAO! 😀

Cheers Sluggo

And yes, Chip Foose is one h*ll of a talented guy! 🙂

I've been missing this show, never home when it airs. I can set my htpc to record it now, but anyone have a link to a BT of it? PM me if it's not against forum rules.
