I know, the sport package front lip and wheels make it look so nice.

I love the navi too. The navigations in the IS series are so damn smooth and have that perfect resolution to them. Not quite as sharp as other navigations I have seen, but for some reason it is really attractive.

Are you going to go see it?

Not only would they not budge on the price, they raised the autotrader listing by $700 today.

The hunt continues...

I really like the TL, but I just couldn't let myself drive FWD again. I liked the IS350 but the prices were just out there so I passed, I also didn't like the interior space of the IS.

Have you looked at the CTS? After looking at the TL and the IS, I checked out the CTS and I fell in love with everything about it. It's priced lower and performs great. Just go test drive an 07+ CTS with a 3.6L and you will thank me for saving you a load.

The cars I'm looking for are in the $22-25k range, a few years old. A new one with AWD is definitely out of reach. I really don't like the looks of the new metal beak TL's anyway. I really wish Honda would stop being so stubborn and start using direct injection in their engines, and make a true RWD car.

A new IS would be in the low-mid 40s, which is ridiculousness considering it's basically been the exact same car since 06.
Well if you can find a new TL in your price range.. problem solved.

Strange you like a smallish car but care about back seat space. Anyways, if you must choose between the 2, the IS350 hands down. How important is road feel to you? The reason IS350 is so isolated is because it is supposed to be comfortable and quiet, aka luxury.

Uhh.. what? Really? I don't look at an IS350 and think luxury. It feels disconnected and isolated because thats how Toyotas are.

I had never considered the CTS because I see it as a much larger car (and I'm not really a fan of its looks.) I haven't looked up the numbers, but 255 HP in a car that big sounds like a pretty far cry from 306 HP in the smaller (and assuming lighter) IS.

I do realize that, but with the CTS, you will get a better driving experience and performance than the TL and nearly $10K difference from a similar mileage and options IS350. For me at least, the savings and the extra space were well worth it.
