contact buy.com and have it replaced.. my motherboard also died with ,.. bad bios version check/bad bios checksum.. I returned it to newegg and actually requested for a refund, now i'm using the DFI lanparty sli-dr which i believe is a better motherboard in terms of OC features.

Didn't want to spend +700? for a Core 2 + DDR2 + ASUS P5B.
Right now I am runinng my 3800+ x2 at 2400MHz. Testing with SP2004 Orthos Edition @ 1.4125Vcore

Is there a bug with BIOS 1303 and HTT multi 4x?

I am running my 3800+ x2 @2400 (10*240) but CPU-z 1.36 reports the HTT speed 719 (3*240). I have re-checked the multi and it is set to 4x.

Anybody with the same problem?

Ive had this board over month now. and Ive encountered couple problems. I thought Asus type graphics card would fit well with a asus board. but when tryed install newest from Nvidia site, all went mess. when I installed cd drivers all worked. Nvidia Active armor is bugged. and when installing graphics newest from website, Avis colors went totaly dark. that again solved by asus own. my question is. there is so many choices on website. witch is actually right drivers for those?

what I know graphic card problem is related its "splendid" thing :p I got now older 8x.xx version drivers.

this might sound silly but Ive thinked whats best order install drivers in. when readed from there and there whats best install. is SP2 must have? Im going reinstall on mine next holiday and gonna get newer windows then (windows XP pro SP2)

so many questions... all help welcome! thanks on advance!

Welcome!

If you are using Windows, then SP2 can be considered Must-Have.

http://support.asus.com/download/downlo...anguage=en-us&model=A8N32-SLI%20Deluxe

1. Install OS. If it's SP1, don't worry. DO NOT have the sound card in the machine yet!
2. Install motherboard drivers from the disc, so you can connect to the internet. DO NOT INSTALL nvidia IDE, firewall or audio drivers. If it shows you a list, uncheck them. If there's no list, click no when it asks you to install.
3. Update Windows. Get SP2 automatically.
4. Download the latest nvidia chipset drivers for 2K/XP, 6.86. Again, DO NOT INSTALL nvidia IDE, firewall or audio drivers.
5. Download and install latest video driver fron nvidia.
6. Disable on-board audio in Windows. Restart.
7. Disable on-board audio in BIOS.
8. Once everything else is OK, then install the sound card.
