I read it and appears to be pretty noobish. The majority of folks that post at the Asus forums don't know what they're talking about. The best thread so far on this motherboard is by Ben805 over at xtremesystems.org - http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=80491

 
Has anyone tried overclocking with this mobo?

I want to overclock only my memory without overclocking my processor. But I cant find the fsb multiplier, and adjusting the memclock in the BIOS doesnt seem to do anything.

Any idea?

I hope ASUS release the new BIOS.
 
Ok. I don't think the Ebay seller is wrong. Just a bit misinformed. There is a Rev. 1.01 and 1.02. The ".02" probably was confused with 2.0.

Make sense now?
 
The eBay seller changed his verbage to indicate that rev 1.01 was the second revision of this board. There is no 1.02 unless you know something that no one else knows.
 
Hey guys this is my very first post on the forums. Ive been reading through this whole thread and its helped me with some information i had questions on thanks. I just wanted to post and say that as of right now the MOBO is in stock right here

Somebody gave me a 6800gs and I was wondering if that with this MB a the 6800gs installed, would all 3 PCI slots be available? I was looking a somebody's photos and it looks like that with a single-slot PCIe video-card in the "blue" slot, there's very little room for the adjacent PCI slot.

I don't ever plan on going SLI, but I like this board because of its stability, dual LAN and passive cooling.

Hm. What I meant was 1.0 Vs 1.01 sorry.
 
Ok. So I called asus about my missing "optional fan" and they sent me a chipset fan that you would see on an A8N Sli mobo. The RMA lady said to install it at a 45 degree angle. She didn't list down a part#, but she did list "A8N32 SLI" on the invoice. Weird.

And asking where one finds if the board is rev 1.0 or 1.1 isn't "noobish"? 🙂

If someone put together an ASUS site like DFI street, we can separate the noobs form the l33t...until then you and I and everyone else will just have to wade through the muck to get at the golden nuggets.

And yeah, I agree, Ben805 in particular, is doing a great job with his thread at Xtremesystems.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, and semi-new to building computers. Anyway I just bought a A8N32-SLI, and I've heard that Antec power supplys don't work well with this motherboard. I also read that for this motherboard you really should have a power supply that is 500W or more. I really like the Sonata II case (which comes with a 450W power supply), and I was wondering if these two things are something that I should worry about and buy a different power supply, or if it doesn't really matter. Also, are there any other cases that come with a 500W power supply or better that would be good for this setup? Thanks in advance!

I've seen many, many posts about Antec PSUs crapping out under heavy 3D SLI loads with this MB. It's not to say that they definitely will--just a disproportionately large number of seemingly PSU-related problems with Antec...otoh, yours comes free with an excelent case--I'd pay the same for that case without a PSU--you might as well try it, it won't hurt anything and you should know pretty quickly if you need something better.

As to total power requirement...the rated total power of a PSU (i.e. 450W, 500W, etc.) is almost meaningless...the most important power rail these days for a socket 939, nVidia SLI MB is the +12V rail. That is the output that will be demanded by the CPU and the video cards and they will be sudden and heavy demands when you go into 3D games in SLI...everyone with PSU complaints has the same issue: everything going along fine and a few minutes or 1/2 hour into a game the computer shuts-down, re-boots or whatever...otherwise, they can run all day in 2D mode with no problems at all.

You also want to have a look at other factors when selecting a PSU...just how steady and clean is that voltge?

I'm not pushing Seasonic on anyone...just passing along my own conclusions after much research--I couldn't find the MB for a month so I had lots of time to plan 🙂

The 500 is good enough, but I went with the 600 because I found it cheaper than what most places sell the 500 for and the extra 100W in the 600 is all on the 12V rail.

Turned out when i posted that site was actually out of stock and just said in stock... i Ended up looking around for about a week and placed an order from Allstarshop.com and have already recieved it and got my computer built. Pc4u Actually called me up after i cancelled my order and asked if i was still looking because they had them in stock. I also recieved a few emails about in stock. So if your looking for one in stock right now do a little searching. Looks like about all the merchants are starting to recieve shipments of them
 
I am using a Antec PSU with np at all .

From everything I have read in several diff forums is the Antec NEO which seems to have problem/conflict with the A8n32 board .

Tho several , including myself is using the Antec TruePower 2.0 dual rail 550w , model : TPS 550w

Been using this mobo and PSU together for 3 weeks now with no problems at all .

Actually its not inflation at work here. Supply and demand is running the prices right now. Some shops are selling them for a little over $200 while some are taking advantage of the low supply line. Hopefully ASUS will get the supplyshortage straightened out soon.
 
Call me crazy but Newegg's supposed to get them at 5:56PM PST tonight...I've been refreshing 5PM EST every few minutes....I WANT THIS BOARD AT THAT PRICE
 
I've tried to order a few things off of Atacom while their website shows that it is in stock. But I've gotten a call a few hours later to see that it's NIS.
