Doh, forgot about Avatar. Don't think it will be able to beat it in total box office but I suppose there is an outside chance at it going ahead in domestic box office.

Ugh...couldn't stand all the Titanic BS the first time around and now it's going all over again. One of the most overrated pieces of garbage EVER. Made for chicks and sackless dudes.

On a related note...people who go to watch re-releases of films just because they've been redone in OH SO AWESOMETASIC JIZZ INDUCING MINDZ BLOWING 3-D are effin' retards.

3-D is a fad that should have NEVER been brought back...it sucked back in the 80s and it sucks now.

It will be interesting to see how that plays out...Titanic did so well in part because it was in theaters for like a solid year. A year later some people were looking for movies to watch and there was crap out out so they were like 'Fuck it, let's watch Titanic again!".

Since this is 3D it's going to have sky high ticket prices, have limited theaters/screens it can play at, and just simply won't be able to cast an anchor at a theatre and sit there for months because they'll want to open up that space for the upcoming summer popcorn flicks.
