Some clarifications (already answered below but this will save you from reading everything):
1) Season Pass = all DLC (no time limit)
2) You do not need the "deluxe" version to use this. The standard base game works with it.
3) You can get this now before you even have the base game and wait for the base game to go on sale. I've seen it as low as $5 multiple times now.

I guess its not, its $19.99. But with the season pass you get 3 DLCs, are they for life? or for a certain period, season, something like a few months?

Just bought this DLC ok on the Origin pc client, even though I don't (yet) own the main game (which was recently on sale for $6).

Offering the DLC maps for free will unite what had become a fractured community.

Well, if you add the DLC now, you can wait and get a cheap copy of TitanFall later.

They took down the "Standard" edition from Origin, but it was $5.99 last week (Feb 24-Mar3) at Amazon. While it states you need the "Deluxe" edition, that's kind of BS... it just states that version because it's the only version of the "base game" available on Origin's store right now.

So... in a few weeks when TitanFall drops again on Amazon, get it then, and the DLC will be waiting when you activate it on Origin. Some are saying the base game might even end up being free (or On The House)
 
I doubt I'll ever play titanfall because of the whole BF4 ordeal but I'll add it just in case. Thanks for the heads up.

It also looks like their servers are getting slammed right now.

Origin just now let me purchase the Season Pass, only having the base game (non-deluxe). So, I dunno

FYI: "season pass" has become a common (and somewhat stupid) term that refers to future DLC packages for the games that release them. You pay x dollars (usually ~$30?) to have access to all current/future DLC whenever it is released.

So, it's never time-limited. "pass" really doesn't imply anything that one might assume it does.
 
What's the difference between Standard and Delux? anyone know? Maybe some DLCs that are already included in the season pass
 
Well, looks like my link above to the standard edition is no longer good. I don't know if it worked for anybody (I hadn't tried it myself), but EA/Origin are just being major assholes by taking down the standard edition of the game (the Deluxe version already includes the Season Pass, anyway)

I see the standard edition.

This deal doesn't make any sense though. It says the Season Pass requires the Deluxe Edition, but the Deluxe Edition already includes the Season Pass, as you said.

Has anybody bought the Standard Edition and tried the free Season Pass with it?

As someone else mentioned, it seems that Origin removed the base edition, for now, so it isn't even an option at the moment...not typically. Anyway, if you already have the base game, this will work for you.

But yeah--if deluxe is simply base + DLC, then this really makes no sense.

Ah, the link to the standard edition is there but it can't be added to the cart, now I see. So basically this deal is (now) only for people that already have the standard edition (despite ironically saying that it requires the deluxe edition).

I think you can still add the Season Pass to your Origin account at no cost, and wait until the standard game goes on sale somewhere. It will have to be activated through Origin, anyway.

No harm if you do it, really.

I actually added the Season Pass to my account last night (I don't have any edition of TF (yet)). I believe I saw the standard edition for sale at Origin for $9.95......I think I'll wait for a really good deal before jumping in.

For everyone who doesn't have the base game yet, I suggest going to dealzon and setting up an email alert for when the game goes on sale. They're usually pretty good about being on top of any deals that go down. Just click the "Get price drop email alerts" link and set it up. Very handy.
