My understanding was that these games were "exclusive" for a period but would eventually be multiplatform.
I couldn't possibly care less. I don't see what's the least bit appealing about this game. Looks like Lost Planet to me, and that wasn't popular.
titanfall could also possibly come out for virtual boy.
"Special Moves" is what makes it sound terrible to me. This isn't a fighting game or Ninja Gaiden.
It also isn't Quake. Quake was awesome for it's time, but having a lot of special abilities is what draws one into a game. A simple run and gun shooter was great circa 1996, but video games have progressed. Not being a basic shooter is a net benefit for the game which is based on ground and mech combat - it needs additional abilities to spice the game up for fun.
This has nothing to do with XB1 or the cloud, I think the game looks promising. Because of that i'm willing to give it a try.
Not everyone agrees with the statement about battlefield. Like I said, it's not the best game for someone who enjoys ground combat. The game forces vehicle combat down your throat on many maps, and that isn't the thing for a lot of folks. Hell even when you want to be a ground combatant you can't on vehicle combat maps. Unless you want to die repeatedly and hate the game.
You are right shooter games have progressed, to what Battlefield is today. That's my view. I compare everything to Battlefield because it really is IMO the one to beat.
If you don't have a story you absolutely must IMO have 32 player battles.
Edit: It's also you again with the single player side. I haven't loaded up the single player side of a shooter since Halo 1. I couldn't care less about singe player. Also, when you say coordination to kill something, how many people on xbox live aren't using mics? I put a microphone on for BF3 for a day and I ran into 4 other people total that had a headset in use. A LOT of people still don't communicate enough for me to want to play some 32 person shooter online where teamwork is extremely important to bring down vehicles. I've taken down quite a number of tanks easily single handedly though, and other vehicles when I played BF3, but meh, I still usually don't like vehicles.
As for Titanfall being overhyped. That's usually based on how much a person keeps up on gaming. Just like how people hate music because it's overplayed, even if it is a good song, just because it's on the radio. You're subjecting yourself to the advertising and thus not liking it. I don't feel TitanFall is overhyped at all, and that's because I probably haven't seen 5% of the advertisements you have.
