for some reason I keep finding that Titan Quest occasionally has a slight stutter as the screen moves. this is on the machine in my sig which should be seriously overpowered for this game. Does anybody else experience this?

There are some occasional "rubber-banding" moments (brief pause, and then your character jumps ahead a bit), when new parts of the map are loaded. And there's also a very bad case of it during the final section of the game...

That is probably what I am seeing then. I wonder why they don't load up as much as possible in the video cards memory...

Well, yeah, that would be something to ask the developers...except Ironlore went out of business . So no more official patches. There is a fan-made patch though, that you can find at the TQ official forum (not sure if it fixes the rubber-banding), along with some really nice mods .

Thanks for the info! I wonder if the unofficial patch would work with Steam's version.

Whenever I have been to a bunch of different areas it does that.
I think cause its got too much data loaded up at once. It tries to keep the map and texture data from recent areas loaded so you can teleport back to them quickly.
Only solution I have found is to save, quit and reload. Not the whole program, just exit out and start the character up again.

Yep, and if you're playing Immortal Throne, midway through the expansion, there's this area where as soon as you enter, the game immediately bogs down so severely that it's almost unplayable. Luckily, there's a checkpoint close by, and doing what shortylickens suggests (exiting and reloading) will fix it.

Don't want to give anything away, but it should be obvious once you reach that point.

I have this same issue but it only happens occasionally. The game crashes occasionally for me though, freezes windows and locks the sound into a loop.

Its amazing what a 2 year old game can do to modern hardware.

Install the fanpatch, but that won't fix it. I think it's memory management, myself.

You know I haven't experienced what you guys mentioned but then I don't use a page file. A possible solution if you have more than 4GB of ram?

I have this exact same problem, but my PC is slower (Athlon 3200+, 1.6GB RAM, 256MB Video). I've been trying to find a solution on the web, but no luck so far.

Oddly, I don't think I had this problem before I added the Immortal Throne Expansion, but I only got to level 3 in the original game before installing the expansion.

I took Spirit as one of the masteries for my character and have 1 point in "Ravages of Time" but yet I can't create a shortcut on the number bar for it. Is this directly attached to "Deathchill Aura"?

I know the area you speak of, lots of reflections. It was the only place the game really chugged for me. Otherwise I just experienced the same thing everyone else does, perfectly smooth 95% of the time, then a pause followed by a sudden speed up of my character.

Still one of my favorite games on the PC though. :) I'm just about finished with it on epic difficulty... on to legandary!

Right. Ravages of Time is considered sort of a "modifier" for Deathchill Aura. Any time you have the Deathchill Aura skill on, then Ravages of Time will also be in effect.

If you look at your character sheet, you should be able to see some brackets connecting certain skills -- the skill with the square icon is the parent/prerequisite skill, and the skills above it in the ladder with the circle icon are modifier skills.

I pumped skill points into base level spirit skills and warfare dual wielding and Onslaught. I have been using two blue Fell Blades and a couple of axe's that I pumped up with runes (they make nice "boom" sounds when they hit)
