I am kind of bored and considering the game. Is the expansion pack worth it? Is online play any good or is it more of single player? Do they have anything similar to battle.net like for diablo2? :p What does the expansion pack add anyways?

Summertime and kind of bored. Need something to do. :) Curious if this game is worth it.

I got bored of it really fast it plays almost exactly like D2 which I played to death. If you've never played D2 or any of it's clones you will like it otherwise it's pretty boring.

Its good to a point, and then it sucks. Developing your character is probably the best part, but the classes are very shortsighted and if you don't choose the right combo to start, you'll be screwed by the time you get to the later portions of the game.

You can reset your skills, but cannot change the two major skill groups that you have. I had a hunter/nature combo and playing through Epic the Nature classes weren't helping as my pets were getting killed immediately, so I could have used another class but couldn't change.

it's a decent game, but it doesnt feel half as polished as d2, a lot of skill and item descriptions feel like written by 12 years old, the more confused you get the more you read it. seem you need a phone book size manual to know what everything does.
worst of all, thq doesnt seem to have any interest in supporting and patching the game up as the expansion is poorly written piece of beta crap, it performs so poorly even if you have quad core and 8800gtx sli

I like it alot. It is like diablo, so if you liked it you should like TQ.

At different char levels you pick a mastery, two total. These determine your class, ie. warfare + defense = conqueror. Then you spend points on the skills contained inside each mastery. You can buy back the points you've spent on the skills but you cannot change a mastery.

The original is broken up into 3 main acts with a 4 act that is very short and leads to the end game.

The exp pack adds another full act that starts after the 4th from the original and a new mastery.

I've been playing it for quite awhile now. I just finally took a break from it and re-loaded Vampire: Bloodlines, going back through it as a malk this time.

I see. Yeah. I want to get into it. From what ive heard, it doesnt start to get interesting until you reach the hardest level like diablo2(hell). That means ill have to go through the entire game 3 times? lol.

There are so many skills to choose from, I dont know which to do either which is pissing me off. :) I always hate games that give you an insane amount of options. I dont know what the heck to do. Melee, Bow, magic bleh.
