this is really fascinating despite the ethical issues involved. by the way i used to work at the medical university of south carolina. it's hard to believe that they are doing that kind of research. the implications of this, if successful, are astounding.

flux - since I can't read the article, what ethical issues are there? Do they use the tissue from previously living organisms or donors to "base" it off of, or how does it work? The benefits to an invention such as this that can save millions of lives every year would have to outweigh the moral issues imho
