Check out Hankook, a lot of people are swearing by it. Great money for values, drives great. I haven't personally driven on them, but a lot of friends had them on their cars love it.

Definately check out Hankook. I bought Hancooks for my car only because they were one of the few companies that still make 185/80/R13s. I bought 5 for $125 plus tax, mounting, and balancing. Coker tire wanted $160 each for basically the same tire. I was pleasantly surprized at how well these tires perform.

I bought a set of expensive Yokahama tires for my other vehicle and they totally suck. Poor wet and dry traction and tons of road noise. I think I had better tracton and less road noise with the warn out set of factory installed tires it came with.

I drive $220 Pilot Sport A/S Plus Z-rated tires. Insane rain and snow traction, I basically drive the same in snow, rain here in Boston as I do in dry conditions. They are loud though.

You may have different tires, but Pilots are generally rated as the best of the best.

I think the tires that came with the Mazda where Pilot MX4s (IIRC). I would definitely NOT recommond those; have never owned the Pilot Sports, and it sounds like they treat you well. :)

Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS. They're all seasons but they grip well, and the treadware rating is about 400. Quiet too.

Not all Michelin's are good, nor even all Pilots.
Especially these..

those are not good tires... they came stock on my car.
i replaced them w/these which have been good thus far.

Haha, yeah, summer tires don't last too long by design, but they're fun as all hell while they do last. ;)

I know they dont last as long as an all season, but I do need it to "last" I drive 85% highway,The Eagle RSAs I have are 3/32nd in 23k. And The RE760's I looked at before, but they are out of my price range though. 360 tread ware and excellent reviews as well. I am looking to get 10 to 15k more then 23k :O

On G35 driver, a guy has the generals with 23k and 6/32nd left. about 15k miles left on that tire. So the Generals do have a good life span.
