Well I was told last week that due to my front tires (may be coming apart?), I get a radial pull (to the right), this also prevents them from fixing my steering wheel (it is crooked), since the alignment greatly depends on the tire alignment or something like that...so now I have to buy new front tires, thing is, what to go for? I know Pep Boys have a variety (not much) but anyone have had experience with any of the brands there?

any ideas on their pricing? How do they price the Michellin tires? Do they even carry them? Man tires can be expensive!

pep-boys has like C/B level tires. They carry the name brands but lesser known models. They have kumho, BF goodrich and etc but in models are so random. The prices are a little higher then normal.

Personally i would look into getting tires online. tire-rack, edgeracing, etc. I know i got quoted a set of 4 kumho no name for 15's total was 470$ installed. I went to sam's club got me BF goodrich traction T/A all 4 installed for 330$ and life time balance and rotations. If i went tire-rack for similiar it would of been $240 for the tires and probaly $25 each to install anywhere. which would of totaled $340 and thats on the high side i know place that install for $10-15 a tire.

why not have a decent set of tires put on from say a diffrent car similiar size and etc. get the alignment. after that throw your front tires in the rear since its sounds like toe and camber took effect on it and get by a little longer on them then needed. just a option.

Well I am trying to find some tires for my front ones because I think one of them has a hole in it (within a week it go from 35 psi to under 30) so I am trying to change that. I was just thinking just to finish up the ones in the rear and just keep buying them as I go. Also I was looking into tirerack, any particular recommended? i am kinda in the low budget since I just spent my whole paycheck on bills. I've also heard that tire rack will ship them to certain tire places so you can just go and have them installed. Any opinions?

would you guys consider it cheaper to have them done at Pep Boys or just doing it through tire rack? Also do I notify the place before purchasing the tires or can I just order them now and call them tomorrow or something to tell them that they are coming?

list your car and size of tires...

tirerack will ship to places but normally you should give the shops a heads up and then the day after u made the order.

I only go to PepBoys for service, not for actual tire purchase. If you don't want to go for online purchase (ie. Tirerack), good places to visit might be a bigger chain like Walmart, Sears or Costco for better pricing.

Also, try a big local chain for price match. For instance, I was able to price match at ETD Discount Tire Centers (NJ local dealer with 7 locations in NJ) with Tirerack price + free lifetime warranty. Try some in local.

hmmm...only thing is I dont know where to find one around here...Also I guess it boils down to price, I think for me 50-65 bucks per tire is pretty reasonable, just depends on what decent brand you can get for that price...opinions?

have these on my gf's car...

she isn't exactly a " i notice everything about my car" person but she noticed the diffrences of these tires. Decent winter tire as well.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...mCompare1=yes&place=17 $67... looks to be about $300 +/- shipped to me, might be same to you.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...mCompare1=yes&place=18 $68

I have these on my maxima, great tires but not after i put 45-50k on them they aren't as good. But much better then most brigdestone poetiza's or w/e they have been putting on most cars stock.

http://www.edgeracing.com/tires/2056015/ falken 912's i think are decent ones. A couple of guys had 512's and liked them. $50 a pop is worth a consideration.

yokohama avids are all in all somewhat similiar. I liked them a lot.

the solus is like what i said more like B class tires. not exactly what they are known for making.

discounttiredirect is a place that should be local to you and most of the time will pricematch something close from what i heard.

I dont know the exact terms of shipping to shops with edgeracing. i just ordered a set shipped to my house. not too hard to carry 4 tires. 2 in the trunk 2 in the back seat. 4 plastic garage bags.

so out of all the ones mentioned, which do you all think I should go for? i appreciate all the help!

EDIT: also, does it matter that my current tires have a profile of 65 when the original is listed as 60?

I know there's McLea's, Valley Tire is another, Big O is another too. Those are what I can remember, I haven't lived there for 9 yrs, but I know all 3 of those are still there. I preferred McLea's when I lived there.

no check out T2rtle's post. i think your size can be had for $50/ea. although the smaller ones are H-rated and made in thailand.
