I was backing up my copy of Talladega Nights so that my kids don't destroy the originals and noticed that the movie itself fits on a regular single layer DVD. What I found in there was over 3GBs of unnecessary extras. When I say unnecessary, I mean videos of the damn cars driving around the track with no commentary or anything. Just driving and wack music. I know it may prevent some piracy since dual layer discs are expensive, but man, you would think they would put that extra disc space to some use.

I doubt that was to prevent piracy. It was just something that was easy to throw in which allowed them to claim "Footage not seen in theaters" rights.

Yes that is what I did. I was just complaining about them beefing it up to put it on a dual layer disc to drive up costs and so forth.
