Has anyone here ever attempted to make home-made Tiramisu? It seems like a very complex / complicated dessert for the average home cook.

Any success stories...or good recipes?

there's a reason that most places of higher education won't accept wiki as an acceptable source of information.

I think I'll spell it TIRAMEESUE and update wiki with that.

none of the italian eateries I've been in (whether it was a chain or a family owned "hole in the wall") spelled it "tiramasu"!

?? wikipedia has it spelled correctly.

Yeah, it's delicious as long as they don't screw it up, which is pretty hard to do.

A man of your age and this is your first tiramasu? 😱

Also, Crème brûlée is my all time fave. Next is pecan pie, Tres Leches, Lemon Custard and finally bread pudding.

Crème brûlée is what you have to make after you make something that uses a lot of egg whites. Maybe there's a lot of stuff out there I don't know about that uses a lot of egg yokes, but it's one of the few that I know of.

It's awesome. My ex used to experiment and made some amazing variations of it. They were all delicious. Stuff like that makes me miss her tasty desserts. 🙁
