Tiramasu?

Tiramisu.

what you wrote sounds Japanese.

😀

Wiki:
Tiramasu is one of the most popular Italian cakes. It is made of biscuits (usually savoiardi) dipped in coffee, layered with a whipped mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone, and flavored with liquor and cocoa

It is, indeed, a little bowl of heaven.

There's a place I went to years ago which made a variation with Gran Marnier (a Orange liquer) - The combination of Chocolate, coffee, and fruit was damned near intoxicating.

even in Italian, it is spelled Tiramisu; as it should be, b/c pronunciation in Italian is very specific and very easy to figure out through spelling.

Otherwise, we would call it "Tir-a-maa-su."

wait, that's really weird.

:hmm:

I think tiramasu is correct, but google wants to correct me with tiramisu, and then there is the wiki page

:hmm:

probably tiramisu in italian, but English speakers pronounce it tir-a-maa-su?

another question--is tirama/isu cake, or pie, or some devilish combination of both?

Delicious stuff. There are a few cheater recipes around so that it's way easier to make and 99% as good.

But I still prefer cheesecake.
