It's a horrible idea.

It?s just a way for the government to try and circumvent the 4th Amendment.

Of course they?ve already thrown the 6th Amendment out the window, at least in the case of Jose Padilla.

Gee, having an army of disgruntled, vindictive, low-brows passing "reliable" information to Federal investigators sounds like a great idea. Makes me feel all warm and cozy; think I'll re-read Orwell's "1984" just for sh!ts and giggles.
