My haircuts cost me $40.00, I tip $6.00

YARIAGIANAC (yet another reason i am glad i am not a chick)
i couldn't handle the expensive haircuts

Indeed, and the bizarre thing is HOW LITTLE THEY CUT OFF!! I mean, really, my wife and I go in for haircuts, they regularly take twice as much off my head as hers (granted, she's trying to let hers grow out again)....but she gets charged twice as much? wtf!?

Anyway, $20 haircut, I tip $5. It's Bend, a tourist town, and thus we have a pretty disgusting number of service positions (they ARE the local economy), so I tip a lot whenever and wherever I can.

In 1985's "Teenwolf" Michael J. Fox complained about having a "ten dollar haircut" and you think $13 now is too much?

In 2000, in Potsdam, NY....it costs $4 for a bad haircut! $13 is highway robbery as far as I'm concerned.

Fixed.

hahahahaha, not at alll. Small town. Typically, pay $5, they get teh $1 tip which I'm sure they don't report.

Haaircuts wern't the best, but they were good enough. WQho am I here to impress anyways?

$0. Maybe you guys go to chains of barber shops, but the one I go to is owned and run by that one barber. I'm already paying him $12 for a haircut.. 😕

My hair dresser drives a new Lexus, and charges me 20$ for a cut that takes 10min. So no I don't leave a tip.

True, I've read that you aren't supposed to tip the *owner* of the shop for haircuts.
