Do you guys tip in these situations?

- UPS of Fedex guy gives u a package (I dont tip)
- quick drive through for beer, snacks, etc. not McD's. (I do tip a little)

I only tip when the person is doing me a service and they can do that service poorly or well. UPS just gives me the package. Can't really screw that up. Waiters can be good or bad, barbers can be good or bad, etc. If they are just doing something that is their job and it's straight forward and they can't really do it well or poor, then no need to tip as it's their job.

here's one, do you tip at a buffet? I mean, the waiters are really just refilling your drinks and taking plates away. I would do it myself if they let me!! I don't feel I should have to tip when they aren't really serving me. And I don't even get a drink, just water. This one has bugged me for a long time, should I tip?

The Fedex and UPS people who deliver to me just drop, ring and run. By the time I open the door they are just an exhaust trail. There wouldn't be any time to tip them even if I wanted to.

No tip for FedEx or UPS, they get payed enough and you already payed for the service.

I second that. The drivers make a good living and thier job is to deliver packages. I didn't get tipped when I worked as a pilot and my cargo was more valuable.

Where can you drive through for bear?

you know... those little drive through marts!

they're really common in ghettos. You drive through and can get liquor, chips, etc.

Yes, you should tip at the buffet. They are still cleaning off your table and bringing/refilling your drink. It is not the server's fault that you choose to order the free water. It still takes them just as much time to refill water as it does any other drink. You realize that the server minimum wage is $2.13/hr. right?

How is that my problem that they only make $2.13 an hour? I can't stand tipping for anything. It isn't my fault that people are willing to work for $2.13/hr. I understand that they are being tipped in appreciation of good service, but they should want to do a "good job" regardless of the tip - otherwise just sit at home and let me pay for them like I do for many others. I don't mean to sound like an asshat, but I get tired of hearing people complain about their jobs and how much they make or don't make.

i usually tip my fedex/ups guys around xmas, 20-40.. around december, i get like 30-40 boxes delivered and they know me pretty well now so they dont throw my boxes around

I'll tip at a buffet, but I'm definitely NOT tipping the normal 15%.

They shouldn't throw your boxes around to begin with!

I don't tip UPS or Fedex guys or drive-thru mart places.
