Is it customary to tip over the gratuity at a restaurant or are you just supposed to pay the gratuity added to the bill?

if there is gratuity added then i pay it and probably consider not returning, especially if i am in a party size less than 15 people.

Missing the "START" entry point. I wasted time trying to find it before I started reading and found out it wasn't there.

You don't get a tip.

most "nice" places it will be a party above 6 or 8.

If the service is really good they get 20%

I recently had a party with 35 people and the server was decent. they auto tipped 20% and I just paid it and added nothing to it.

If a restaurant adds a gratuity charge to a bill I won't pay it; nor will I leave a tip. They have no place telling me what I have to tip. I pay for the food only, and leave.

I usually double the tax unless the service is bad then I give 5%

So you think that the less the less regressive the state the less progressive you need to be to make up for it...

That makes sense.
