That is a lie. I have worked tech support (call center) before. Data entry is far preferable.

All these fresh college graduates, no matter how many of them, they don't influence things that much anyway. That's coz a fresh graduate doesn't have any proven experience and anyway is going to get only a POS job so you don't have to worry.
