tiny reply box (when maximised) in Opera 7.23

When I hit "reply" to respond to a thread here on AT, and then maximise the reply box, the size of the area where the message is entered reduced to about an inch high. The rest of the page becomes blank space. This happened in the last week or so, presumably due to whatever changes have been implemented. It's very irritating. 😀

Update your opera, latest version doesn't do this.

I don't like 7.5. 😀

Well you don't like this bug either, so pick one or the other. What can you possibly not like about 7.5? Only thing I can think they added was the toolbar on the left which slides out of view with one click.

If I install over the top of 7.23, will I lose my favorites and personal bar setup?

You won't lose your favorites, and probably not the personal bar setup either. I usually just install over to keep all my stuff.

Just updated.

Still get the small box if I:

-hit "quote" to reply to a post, then
-hit the maximise button, to expand text window

instead of getting bigger (the point of hitting maximise, I like to have lots of room) the text window actually gets smaller, about an inch high.

Just installed Opera 8 (beta). It doesn't have this problem. Plus it seems like a real improvement on 7.23 and 7.5. Scrolling seems quicker, page loading seems quicker.

Well, I'm running the latest stable release and I do not have the issue that you are describing so it must be something on your end.

try 8, it's a significant improvement on 7.5. lots of little new features that make life less stressful. the beta actually seems stable, it hasn't crashed on me yet. It works with your serial number from 7.5.
