QTF. Elton hasn't done anything worthwhile in years. He and Phil Collins can only do Disney now. But back in the day I'd say Elton > Billy. Elton is a much better pianist.

Hey, I like Billy Joel as much as the next guy, but after seeing him on the Apprentice a while back, wow, he was miserable. Voice was shot and he just looked like a bum. I feel bad for the guy.
