Just hit hit another homer! 4 consecutive games with a homerun, who woulda thunk it? Everyone was saying his bat slowed down, but he's sure looking good now.

UPDATE! 5 homers in 5 consecutive games now, and 7 homers in the last 8. The guy is on fire!

I'm a Red Sox fan, but I still to this day, thought it was a stupid move getting rid of Tino in favor of Giambi.

Sure he was MVP in 2000, but Tino gave you better than average production, and was a considerably better first baseman. And he was a "Yankee". He fit the mold. He was well liked and was a team player. Something Giambi would never understand.

I actually figured Tino would have another good year as a Yankee and was actually not surprised by his signing. Now with him doing well, I'm still not surprised.

LOL. Guess Giambi's gonna be in the minors soon.

Once a player is in the league for 5 years he has the right to refuse an assignment to the minors. Giambi already refused.

I'm sorry TP but Bobby Abreu is even hotter then Tino in the past week. 3ft away 2 nights ago from 8 homers in a row! He's batting around .500, has well over 10 RBI's and took like 8 walks in his 9-day stretch.

Talk about getting shafted with scheduling for my A's. They have to play back to back series at boston and new york, then they play them again right after at home? No wonder they're on a 6 game losing streak and have lost 9 of their last 10 🙁

While not in the same position or anything, i would take Albert Pujols over Tino, Abreu; virtually anyone; anyday of the week.

However, Tino is putting up some IMPRESSIVE numbers now.

people actually care about some dude hitting a ball with a stick? people spend their time watching dudes hit balls with sticks? is there really nothing better to do with your life?
The alternative being to troll online forums? I'll stick with baseball, thanks...

Of course! Whoever would take Tino over Pujols obviously doesn't know baseball. Tino is just putting up ridiculous numbers right now, and nobody expected anything from him.

Yeah. I'm impressed with Tino and happy that he's doing so well. But this will not last. He's not hitting 35 homers this year.

No, he probably won't. But the Yanks will ride this as long as it goes!

Arreu is hot, but Tino hit eight homers and drove in 19 runs in his last eight games and has 10 homers in 11 starts. He now LEADS THE MAJORS in homers together with Arod, and all this from a guy that wasn't expected to do ANYTHING at all with the bat.
