Tinfoil hat wearers rejoice, university offers a degree program for conspiracy theories

why are conspiracy theories always considered taboo?

Because people have been indoctrined to believe that anyone that questions their gov't must be stupid/crazy/unpatriotic or any combination of those. Quite an effective mass control device.

So more anti science and reason claptrap?

Look, two versions of a story, one supported by logic and factual evidence, the other, pulled from thin air by a man on the corner of 5th and main who rain out of drugs....but both are equally worth considering....

This sh!t makes me :|

Who lives? 😉

The majority of things spread and labeled as 'conspiracy theories' are crap. However, like stereotypes, conspiracy theories often have a few shreds of truth in them. Most of them are garbage but to discount 100% of them as pure BS is to buy into the opposite end of the spectrum - pure gov't propaganda.

I'm not going to go into specifics about certain topics but what if the "conspiracy theory" happens to have very logical and examinable proofs but the answer that is in place now has some sentimantality attached to it so it is believed more. What would you say to this?
