I dunno I don't really see his actions as worthy of respect. It's more of a cowardly act.
he knows sitting on death row will not be enjoyable and is trying for the easy way out. The best way, IMHO, is to let him sit on death row for 10-20 years like in Parchman (if its real, I?m not sure. Read about it in a book) and then execute him. I work in the federal building in Fort Worth, and we have over 3000 people in our building alone (from what i was told) I couldn't imagine someone setting off a bomb near our building. I say let him suffer for a long time.
or as george carlin suggests, bring back public crucifixions, preferably upside down
