Good, now that that is settled, any guesses on how long he'll actually sit on death row?

Would you rather rot on death row for the rest of your life? Or would you rather die and get it over with. He will never be able to enter society again. He will never get out of prison. Killing him would be the easy way out...

Put him on the rack.Strech him out on spikes, poor honey over him and let the ants eat him alive. He will never earn honor. He is a coward and a mass killer not worthy of any sympathy at all.:disgust:

Thanks Tripleshot, you summed it up for me pretty well.

I don't care what he does. Ever. Nothing can attone for his past sin.

I don't believe in the death penalty, but for him I could almost push the button myself. When he intentionally put the bomb somewhere that he knew would kill all those children, he is no more than an animal to me. But I can see your point Viper, at least now he is trying to act like a man, and face his punishment.

I'm not saying he's attoned for anything, I'm just saying that it's unusual for somebody to waive their right to appeal. I still say fry the bastard, but at least he'll go out with a little bit of honor. No matter what somebody's done, the ability to accept the consequences garners some respect from me.

He is waiving his appeal to get out easy. His death would be easier than for him to live his life out....

<< poor honey over him and let the ants eat him alive >>

Actually, pouring honey on him would cause the ants to eat the honey, leaving him alone. Just shoot him in the head. Done!

Get out easy? Ummm then why do 99% of all people on death row, want to have a life sentence and not be executed? Saying its the easy way out is not the right terms to use.

Hmm, i'm gonna grab a lawn chair and watch the chaos from accross the street. See, when Tim gets settled down in his cell here in the federal prison accross the street from my house, we'll be neighbors. We have the death row and the gas chamber here in Terre Haute. From what the local news has said, this is the only federal prison that will be executing criminals who have been sentenced to death by the federal government.
It will surely be chaos here in town when Tim's time runs out.

Well, his "controllers" must've told him it was time to self-terminate. Skip "Arlington Road", watch "The Manchurian Candidate". McVeigh has no idea what he did or why. I'm not disputing that he was involved, but it's obvious that he was only a cog in a much larger machine, which we'll probably never know the truth about.:(

How many inmates on death row are convicted of killing 168 people?

What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Viper - he's trying to say he's still on another level even though he's on Death Row. At least that's how I see it

What "level" he's on has nothing to do with it. I seriously doubt anybody here would choose deather over life in the US prison system. Hell, I've never had cable TV or a gym at my disposal. Maybe I should go to prison for a while? Most people would rather live than walk down the hall towards certain death.

I used to say I'd prefer death over life in prison but you know what? I'd take life in prison in a heart beat. Maybe its my current state of mind but life is just..something you can't ever have again. Losing it is just irational, I mean I simply can't understand any other way to see it. I'd much rather sit all day in a cell reading the ocassional book and hitting the weights, etc. than death. Because death is nothing, life in prison is something.

I thought the exact same thing. It makes me wonder if someone "up top" said end this. This way Tim can never say the real truth. Hmm... something to think about.

I would push that button in a heart beat ... I will never forget coming back from lunch my senior year in highschool and hearing about the bombing on the radio in my car. I remember still the pale look on my art teacher's face when I told her about the bombing. Her cousin worked in that building ... a cousin who was like a brother ... they identified his body 4 days later. She was one of my favorite teachers and it killed me to know how much she and her family were hurting ... not to mention all the other families that were so deeply affected. I watched for hours each night as they cleared the reckage and the bodies ... I sat and cried as they brought these little innocent babies out. It was probably the worst thing I can remember watching in my life ... and to know that an American was responcible for it was the worst. It would have been so much easier to think it was some foreign terrorist that didn't know what our lives were like... but for these guys to be born and raised in America and to commit such horrible crimes, I don't think their is a punishment bad enough for him. Maybe like in the old days when they fed people to lions ... or draw and quarter ... something much worse than the electric chair or lethal injection.
