Well if you give a warning to him then you are going to need to give warnings to everyone else in ot that has abused it at one time or another and it's a rather long list.

LOL at this since the person on the list with the most transgressions would be Newbian.

Exactly... got to protect number one. ;)

Also I think Barfo might have me beat a bit but I am working on it.

Hah! I went back in time and undid many of my time warps, so now I'm laying low and you're candidate #1 for a vacation :p

You bastard...

Just for that I am going to kill your grandfather and make love to your grandmother.

Would you do that to your grandson? :brokenheart:

Apparently everybody kills Hitler on their first trip back.

I just smacked him when he wasn't looking.

I'm probably #2 then.

I starting this COMPLAINING about timewarping... something went horribly wrong.

Now, people come here, boasting about their time warp exploits.... -sigh- I wonder if I got time-warped when I wasn't looking.

You're #1 in my heart.

Or maybe Newbian is.

there is more to the problem than that...some posts are back in time a minute.

I believe you can manipulate this in the code...didn't know being the next Loke was ok here though.

Yeah, this isn't going to stop anything.

People are even going back and editing posts thinking they had a timewarp and didn't...I don't know why it's flying...many topics are derailed because of this much worse than neffing.

I can say this new method of prevention seems to be more annoying than anything and I'm still seeing a lot of Time Jumpers.

Agreed.

That reminds me, someone mentioned once that the term "neffing" began at AT. That posted told us that there was a guy called 'neff' at AT.

Is that story true? (About someone called neff who started that whole thing ?)

Moderators, was this your choice, or was it done by whoever runs the servers?

*waits*

I've had plenty of timewarps, and I can guarantee you there is no need to manipulate anything in code, LOL.

Now bans are being issued for timewarps? Can I see where in the rules it says that users will be punished for forum glitches?

No, only if the the person above the OP (because of the timewarp) goes in an edits the OP title or subtitle. It can only happen in a certain instance.

Five posts down.

Edit: Yes, he warped over the OP, but the ban edit wasn't on that one, it was later. Wouldn't it have been on the first if he had edited the OP? Braznor could probably confirm if that was his original title and subtitle.

It looks like the title was not edited as the title appears to reflect what Braznor was posting in his first post. It's pretty obvious when it's done, because the title edit will have zero to do with the OP's post.

This one is not something I would PM Braznor to confirm.

edit:
I see what you're referring to. That vacation given by Minendo was for timewarp neffing, or just neffing in general, which is against the rules and a vacationable offense. The one I explained within the sticky was specific to someone other than the OP editing a title.

Neffing is a bit vague, if everyone who ever neffed got suspended, this place would be absolutely empty, but that's a different issue entirely. Thanks for the answer though.

Is the sixty second post delay change going to stay? Time warps are still appearing despite the modification.

Neffing isn't vague IMO, it's actually again the rules. Neffing in one thread won't get you a vacation. Maybe not even a warning. Neffing in multiple threads will get you a vacation.

Sorry, I meant to put an "imo" when I said vague, although your answer is a good clarification.
