Umm.. You've got some serious computer issues if you think COD4 looks like Quake 3. The graphics are really quite good.

Nevermind saying COD looks bad (I've never tried it on PC), but why would anyone say Quake 3 looks bad? I thought that was probably id software's best engine to date.

Just use higher resolution textures, higher polygon models, and we could still be using that engine today. It had that smooth movement that is missing from so many of today's games.
 
I'm playing through the game a second time right now. It's very similar to HL2 and it's definitely an underrated title.

I agree. See my comments over a year ago. It's a decent game. Not the best but a must play if you like sci-fi and shooters. Very much like HL2.
