It is Obama. And it should be Obama until 2016. Yes, that is three terms, but he will be so popular that the laws of the land will be rewritten.
 
Why is Alex Rodriguez' picture shown there? How is he "one of the most influential people?" He was in the news about alleged (pfft..."alleged") steroid use...and THAT'S influential?

Maybe this is indicative of why our country is in such a bad recession second only to The Great Depression.

We need to stop giving a damn and paying for "no-matters." Professional Sports in the USA is a "no matter" AFAIK. Yeah, I said it. :frown:

We need to get back to:

Educating our children/young adults
Being first in Science around the world
Leading by example

Let's start with those three.

The list said "influential"

Sports figures are definitely influential since so many kids and adults look up to them. I agree with you that people seem too drawn to entertainment though. They'd rather watch sports than go outside and play them. And they certainly don't want to spend time learning anything.
