time to upgrade phone

I have sprint and want to upgrade my phone, anybody tried both the blackberry 8830 and the blackberry 8130.

the new pearl should be awesome. there wasnt much wrong with the first one. i would be getting it if i didnt see that sero plan deal from sprint- now i have to get a q9c (oh well! )

I am going to take a look at the pearl tomorrow, I hope I like it, I already get all their power vision stuff free because of a mistake they made they wanted to keep me from jumping ship. I haven't been able to take advantage of it with my current phone.

as far as i can tell, the pearl is one of the only power vision phones they have? the moto q9c is just a vision phone apparently...

I have the 8300, 8310 and the 8120. What would you like to know?

Hmm, I was going to copy paste an old reply in this forum, but it appears we have a 10 day archive on it. :|

Anyhow. Both devices have pretty much the same functionality, such as:

- Media player; Video, Music, Voice notes, Pictures, etc
- 2mp cam.
- Pearl 2 does Video recording, Curve should have an OS update which may or may not provide this(not upgraded my 8300's OS yet)
- Browser, wider on 8300 of course
- P2 has spell check in the OS, again, check Curve has latest 4.3 OS to add this.
- Both have MicroSDHC slots, so expect to be able to fill them with 32Gb some time next year. 8Gb is available now. Pearl 2 slot is EXTERNAL! Much better.
- P2 is Suretype, Curve Qwerty. Take your pick here.
- Both have industrial strength email. Messenging programs for all popular networks(gtalk, msm, AOL, Yahoo, etc) can be had for $20~ and up. Although some networks have native BB apps, such as Gtalk and (maybe) Yahoo.
- Other stuff.
