Time to upgrade laptop memory

hello

currently I have a gig of RAM in my Alienware Area-51m laptop (previous generation). I'm looking to upgrade to at least 1.5gigs so that I can run my favorite drum sampling and audio-editting programs. currently there are two sticks of Corsair memory in there, but I am planning on ditching both for higher quality sticks or memory. what brand of RAM would you guys recommend? remember, this is for a laptop...

thanks

edit: right now I have two sticks of vs512sds400. it's Corsair's Value Select, but I want the best of the best, not the value schtuff...

lol why do you want best so you can overclock ur laptop lol. value ram is just what you want i recommend you get one gig and than keep that other stick of 512 so you have 1.5gigs or you can get 2 gigs of corsair value 1gig + 1gig = 2gigs.

i'm just paranoid about getting the best performance out of my computer. are value rams just as good? I always thought value stuff had higher CAS latency
