Yeah, it hasn't crashed on me yet, either. I've been saving often, though, in case I do something stupid.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU RUN WINDOWS, THERE IS A RISK OF CRASHING.

DO NOT BUY ANY GAME IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS, THERE IS A RISK OF IT CRASHING.

Oh, wait, most people save, autosave or no autosave, simply because MS OS' suck.

Hmm...perhaps I should...umm..."download the demo" before I buy?

<-- 8500LE user...

Also, make sure you're using the official, EA/Maxis version of the game, and not the DEViANCE version, since the DEViANCE version is known to have crash issues!! ;)

That's funny... MS' OSes are trouble-free if you don't install any other software (games, etc.) on it. What could that mean ? Don't blame the OS. Blame whatever comes after it, causing it to crash AFTER it is installed.

Im running it on an ATI 7500 with no problems so far. Other then its slow as hell seeing as my comp doesnt even meet minimum requirements.

But its a sweet game!

I have never, ever played a video game with an autosave feature. Ever.

Tried Metal of Honor? It autosaves. It's actually a nice feature. You don't need to worry about saving every time you enter a new area because it does it for you.

I think the auto save would just frustrate me... what if i had just gone through a room and emptied 150 rounds on guys, when i coulda just run through and saved all that ammo, then I get my nugget roasted cause i run out of ammo? ;)

lots of games have auto-save at level changes. You can still save where you want.

I think it was dark forces (original) where you couldn't save mid-level. That sucks... fortunately it wasn't that tought to beat and/or there were trainers available.

The ATI issue is only with the animated 3D characters ... not related to crashes.

For those questioning ATI video cards and their compatibility with this game, i've been playing SC4 extensively and it hasn't crashed once.

I have a 128MB 8500 Retail. :)
