God he sucks. Seriously, what's holding Reid/Obama back?

They've been kissing his ass as they want the 60 votes. That's gone now.
Lieberman's double dealing is a good part of the reason the public has soured over the HC reform, which has lead to the defeat in Mass.

Mind you I am quite aware that other actions contributed heavily, such as the buyout for Nelson's & Landreu's support. However, Lieberman was vital to killing the public option, and later the Medicare buy in, which pissed of liberals so much as they felt betrayed. Just these two actions pissed off a great deal of both moderates and liberals, let alone all the other problems over 2009.

Lieberman has been pissing in the party's face since.... 2004? 2006? Since 2000?

Time for him to go. F it, 58 votes should be plenty to do anything worth doing. Strip him of his committee chairs and perks and leave him useless. Let him go face voters as a broken backstabber and let anyone else take over.

Other than generally supporting national defense, and, lately, the advocacy against nationalization of health care, Lieberman is true blue Democrat, albeit with a head on his shoulders.

Only the Netroots "progressive" lynchers want him out anyway.

He gave the Dems a Golden Shower when they tried to kick him out in the primaries and he smoked their candidate.

Funny You have not learned the lesson of Scott Brown.
Independant minded conservative = Cool
establisment arrogant, entitled, over educated, eletist, tax our kids and spend, water carrying Limosine Liberals = uncool.

Voters don't hate Lieberman... Party Bosses do. Partisans do. Straight party line voters do. That is a plus the rest of America is sick of the Dems and the Republicans. Having an "I" behind your name right now is a plus.

I don't have a problem with Lieberman. I don't agree with him on everything, but he has the people who vote for him in his best interest.

But you keep on enforcing that stereotype that NE Dems are know-it-all eletist asses who think regular joes are Retarded people (with exception to anyone in a union of course they are exempt.) Who is retarded anyone who doesn't think like you? Wow just get back from the playground with that arguement? Love it keep it coming!

You and your ilk are the reason Scott Brown won.

Yup you're right everyone hates him! looks like that might be average for the legislature...

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/congressional_job_approval-903.html

RCP Average 1/8 - 1/17 Approve 26.0 Disapprove 66.2 Spread -40.2

If you are a politician we don't like you!

We'd be better off starting over fresh to get all that crap out of D.C.

So are you ok with the Louisiana purchase or the Nebraska kick backs? Or just hate lieberman?

I don't much like Lieberman, but I have to respect his willingness to go against the party line when he didn't agree with where the party was heading. We need more people who are not just straight party line voters. After all, if every senator votes along the party line all the time, why have senators at all?

You are misinterpreting the polls. You're comaring Apples to Oranges.
Many people think highly of their OWN Senators and Representatives. Washington DC and the entire Congress?...not so much.

How many Senators do you know have a 25% approval rating in their OWN home state?
Answer: None, besides Lieberman.

Unfortunately there is no way to toss Lieberman other than perhaps engineering a recall election. Meanwhile neither party wants to offend him

But still ole Joe is a dead man walking in terms of running for another term in 2012. As it is, if the GOP had not run a total patsy in 2006, Joe would have lost. And Lieberman used to be an initial media darling for his stance on the Iraq war, and as soon as public support for the Iraq war soured, Lieberman opposition started to really grow to and its still growing today.

Now the only times Leiberman gets on a talk show is when he does something idiotic to further erode his support.

Tossing Lieberman is one of the best consequences of the Dem's senate loss. He's no longer needed.

Yes I know he is toast now what a couple years does. It be nice if the other electorates would take a hard look at the dweebs they send to D.C.

Yes I am on purpose. If 50 states send their respective 60% favorable guy to D.C. what they don't know is when put in office they F up just as much as the other states guys.

Yea I see what you mean he's toast. But so is Spector, Reid, Dodd (if he didn't retire that bozo would be history) Maybe Nelson from Nebraska for being a greedy ass.

Good luck tossing 'ANYONE' from congress.... Once they get voted in it's a free ride pretty much for life. You just can't get rid of garbage. If for some reason he did get voted out they would make a spot for him. That's the problem with the country it needs to clean house. Once these assholes get in they are set for life.

There's no kind of philosophical basis for his positions. He just likes Republicans to pat him on the back.

He opposed public option while at the same time supporting subsidies for people to buy insurance. His anti-government position was baseless, because he actually supported the socialist part of health reform... as long as the money only went to private insurers.

I doubt Joe Lieberman stands a chance in 2012.

First of all, he will be 70 in 2012.Second he is unlikely to get the democratic nomination.
Third, because the seat is up for grabs, the GOP will not run a patsy like they did in 2006.
I think ole Joe will do the math, see the deck is stacked against him, and retire with his winning record in tact.

In some ways, the dems might be smart to soon offer him a plum position like Ambassador to Israel, and then get a solid democrat in place, who can carry some incumbency into the 2012 election.

Anybody who could get elected as a US senator with the whiney voice like he has must be a pretty astute politician. Irregardless, the less i have to listen to that whiney ass voice of his the happier I'll be.
