Ignored the rest of the article didn't you. I particularly liked this part.

See. Essentially it's saying that CNS and their ilk are completely misrepresenting the intent of the study to just be douches.
No, it's not just to be douches it's because conservatives have reached a point in this nation where the truth is physically impossible for them to use.
Have you ever been to the universities and schools? Do you have any idea what happens to Conservatives/Libertarians?

Have you ever watched msnbc?

Maybe you dont remember this should refresh your memory

http://now.msn.com/ryan-rotela-flor...eportedly-suspended-for-not-stomping-on-jesus

This is the perfect example. Incapable of Rational Thought here posts this link instead of posting a link to the thread he posted about this because that thread he eventually abandoned when it was shown this student was suspended for threatening the teacher, not for refusing to do the lesson.

What I don't get is why people keep reading these websites. They are quite clearly utterly contemptuous of their audience and think they will believe anything they write.

You think liberals look down on conservatives intellect? Maybe they do. The people who really show the most contempt for conservatives' intellectual abilities are other conservatives though, as shown by the endless cycle of made up news and hysterical mailing lists that they use to bilk the faithful out of money through donations and selling things like gold.
This, exactly. It's no coincidence that those who cry the most about being called dumb are the ones who make the willful choice to remain disinformed by swilling tripe from sources like this. It's like a guy who smears himself with feces, then complains when others point out he stinks. They refuse to consider that it's their own dumb behavior that is the root of the problem.

And you are exactly right that there is a cynical, shameless slice of opportunists who exploit these unthinking tools, feeding their craving for hateful, partisan BS, no matter how deceitful it may be. Their contempt for other conservatives is their road to prosperity. At least we just laugh and point. We don't pick their pockets too.

Finally, I want to be clear this isn't a problem of ideology. Not all conservatives are so dumb. It's not even all conservatives on P&N; there are intelligent, thinking conservatives here, and I know many in the real world. But buffoons like Michal and Incorruptible have become the face of conservatives here, and make it all too easy to paint all conservatives with the same broad brush. Their incessant, ignorant noise drowns out the intelligent conservatives.

Or, as I like to put things: it's not that most conservatives in P&N are obnoxious morons, it's just that most of the obnoxious morons in P&N are conservatives.

As for why they keep reading those websites, the answer is simple: they love reading that stuff. They don't really want "news" and they don't want to learn anything. They want their anger and resentment validated.

These people aren't victims of opportunists. They are willing, even eager accomplices.

I didn't say you brought it up, but you sure seem eager to talk about that instead of the bullshit "issue" you started the thread over.

As for being on topic.

I dont see the left coming out and discussing it either. They dont want to admit one of theres was wrong.

michal1980, Ronald Reagan was dead wrong then about SDI. This may come as a huge surprise to you but RR was not exactly the first US president to oppose the Soveit Union. He was lucky enough to have his presidency coincide with the tail end of their empire when it finally collapsed. RR's great "accomplishment" was to spend money on our military industrial complex like a drunken sailor. Who knew then that all it took to be considered a visionary saint by "conservatives" was to bust the budget of the USA wide open. But I guess it's different when your guy is calling the shots.

SDI was a rat's hole for billions, even trillions of dollars then and never amounted to a hill of beans. One of the worst returns on investment the USA ever made-we didn't even get something like Tang out of it.

Sorry pal but Kerry was right and your false god was wrong.

I wrote a lengthy, detailed response to the topic of the thread last night showing why you and your author are wrong. It's post #9.

EagleKeeper responded in post #10, also saying you are wrong, and he's no "leftie".

Others have responded as well.

To ignore all of those responses and then claim that nobody else is discussing the subject proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that you are a lying propagandist, who has no interest in doing anything but spouting talking points, and who is too much of a coward to actually deal with counter-arguments.

Yikes. Do P&N conservatives actually take pride in irresponsible threads like these? How do you even live with yourself if you don't even know that Star Wars never become a reality, yet start a thread about a Dem being "wrong" about opposing it anyway?

Honest question: How do you know that?

Personally, I have no idea what new tech was developed form that effort. I've never thought to research it. But would seem to me that whatever, if anything, was developed would be considered classified and not disclosed.

because none of the research and investment into SDI lead to the missile defense of today?

when you start on an huge project trying to create things never done before, you don't know how you will get there and what it will cost.

Yet today the USA is much safer with products that have their origins in Regans vision.

Kerry's on the other hand would have left us defenseless.

Possibly this. You gotta start somewhere.

I like to think maybe parasites are parasitizing parasite victims due to the weakened thinking capacity of such victims. Folk who will believe anything are like low hanging fruit.
