For those who work at a help desk or simply in IT, good luck with all the calls monday because of scheduled meetings getting shifted, some PCs/Servers with wrong time etc etc... looking forward to it myself :p

I did all my home machines, but have to wait to do my game server, preferably when server application is rebooting. (screws up things like spell timers, mana regens, etc if I do it live)

Always a joy!

The security doors at my office will screw up.

There's no way to change to the updated DST schedule.

So they will have to be updated with a time - and then when DST used to change, they will break again and have to be updated. It's awesome.

yeah I decided I just disable auto change and set time zones manually when its time. So now I just set my time zone to GMT -4 instead of GMT -5 lol. not best way but it works, and wont mess up when syncing to NTP servers. I never got the patience to apply that windows patch (like 100+ registry changes) and don't even want to bother trying to figure it out on Linux.

This comes up very year and I say it again, we really need to abolish DST and just stick to one time shift.

I remember when I had to set everything manually around the house or I'd miss something because of the time. Now the clocks we actually look at - namely the cable tv boxes and our cellphones - do it themselves. Yay for technology.

The UK doesn't switch to BST/DST until 30/03. I'm sick of this time change bullshit, choose one and stick with it.

The change used to happen a couple of weeks later than this, but GWB, in his infinite wisdom, changed it in 2005, (OK, he signed the bill presented by Congress) and it went into effect last year...which extends the DST period by a month.
