Time to pick a girl... which one?

Alright, here's a situation thats never presented itself to me before so I ask your help and advice. (the final decision is mine though)

Anyway, there is one girl who I met before. She is pretty hot (not totally skinny, but still quite attractive to me). The last time I saw her (I hadent seen her in a while), I started talking to her right away (this was at a bar). As the night went on, we were holding hands and sh!t all over the place and we made out on the dance floor for a while.

Its her birthday today (she's 19, I'm 19) and I have a feeling shes gonna call me tonight. Where it will go tonight, well I have a pretty good idea *grin*

Unfortunately I don't know if there would be a real relationship, but until today I hoped there would be.

Today this really hot girl and I met up to discuss some things about the english class we were in, and about the economics class we were in. We spent about 20 minutes together, but the conversation kept leading away from school to more personal things. Anyway, in the end she suggested that we be partners in this english essay thing we have to do, where we have to correct and edit the your partners essay.

In the end, although nothing really happened, it seemed like there was something there. I have a feeling I could go out with this girl if I wanted to. I have no idea about where it might go though.

As I said before, having to make a choice like this has never happened before, and right now, the deed that will probably happen tonight is really clouding my mind (and I mean REALLY CLOUDY)

How do I choose?!? (Obviously I can't have both)

I really don't see what the problem is. You have not committed yourself to either one so why bother picking. Just slow it down with the first girl and go on a date with the second. No need to work up a fuss if there isn't really anything with the second girl. Anyways it's always a good idea to keep a girl on the back burner.

Wow, there's another person who knows what he's talking about.

In the beginning, you should always be dating more that one girl. By dating only one, you focus all your attention on her, became too clingy, and she will dump you.

By dating more than one, you avoid coming on as desperate, besides, you should always have a backup plan.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

ya but what happens if i end up doing it with girl #1, then in a week want to be with girl #2.

that makes me an asshole. girl #1 is friends with a few of my other friends, so she would be around after if I didnt stay with her, which would cause problems if i ever brought girl #2 around.

Yes you can!

Just "date" them both, and see which one you like better. How can you know from what little time you've spent with them? Unless one of you says that you are mutually exclusive, you are not, and are free to do as you choose, with as many people as you want! Now, when/if you start having sex with either/both, make sure that you make a decision then to be open about it, and either make sure they're both cool with that, or get rid of one of them.

Or have a three way, which is really the best option.

exactly, why do you have to choose?...it's not like you're in a relationship. dating is dating.

Date each of them if they don't know each other. Just a few times and then make up your mind.

Having other dates can always make you look more desirable in the early stages.

If you can juggle your schedule, have both! You may have to make a solid commitment to one or the other sometime though, so be prepared for that.

Think about which one is more mentally stable and likely to hold up in a relationship, if that's what you're looking for.

There's nothing worse than having a relationship with a girl who's f***ed in the head, ya know?
