I remember my first kite. It was ninja turtles as well. I also had a power ranger one that got stuck on my elementary school roof =(

I'm glad you had fun, but unfortunately, pictures of a plastic kite against a blue sky aren't particularly interesting. Your son is cute, though.

Beware the tree, it is your enemy! Shredder lives there!

That's great taking your son out to fly a kite. Some of my memories are of that with my pa.

I had paper, twine, and balsa as my kite. With an old tshirt torn into strips for the tail. Do they even sell paper and wood kites anymore?

We were flying a kite last spring at my Uncles house. He had that thing so far up ther eyou could hardly see it. Then the string broke. It was a heavy kite so it came down relatively fast but still ended up about a half mile away. We just ran after it and finally found it in someone's backyard.

Those are they stupid ninja turtles. 1990 TMNT FTW!

And why is Splinter holding the ninja turtles in the trap from Superman III?

I liked the colors [shrugs].

What was REALLY cute was when my wife was flying the kite, my son was chasing the shadow on the ground. That didn't convey to well in still pictures though. I should have shot some video as well.

That is so cool. I love to fly kites, I do so every spring, even though I am 30.

It helps bring life into perspective.

WHAT!? The new TMNT cartoon rocks!
HOLY CRAP! I didn't know they were making a new Ninja Turtles!!
And yes, the 1990 version was better.

no, I ment the new TMNT cartoon that's on saturday mornings.

Sorry, I thought Quasmo was referring to the cartoon of the 1990's not the movie.
But yeah, they're making a new movie. CGI turtles. I think this movie will be more faithful to the original comics.

I think I will be first in line to see that new movie. I remember seeing the first live movie at the theater. It was decorated with the TMNT theme. Good old memories.

I miss those late 80's / early 90's cartoons. I'd come home after school, eat a bowl of cold cereal and watch them. My favorites were The Chipmunks, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Jetsons, and Duck Tales. The happiest times of my life... i miss them sometimes.

I miss the 70s cartoons (Hanna Barbara, Krofft shows, etc). Thanks to D*TV and BOOMERANG, I get to sit down with my son on Saturday mornings with a bowl of cereal and watch them with him!

On Fridays we got to drink chocolate milk during lunch. I would save my milk til I got home and drink it and watch those shows. Brings back memories.
