Hi all.
I've been a member of the forums here for over a decade (I was even around before the "Great Account Wipe" back in 2000 or so). I remember the reason I joined was someone posted a "Free $50 on anything at Staples" coupon in the Hot Deals forum, and since then I was hooked. I had a Hot Deals addiction, then slowly moved into the famous ATOT. It became my pulse on the zeitgeist (how's that for a fancy word?).
The members since then have come and gone. Some were famous, some were infamous, but they are all a part of the community and made this nook of the Internet what it is today. We have the heroes, the villains, and the in-betweens that make things interesting.
What makes this place different our willingness to help each other. If you have a sincere, legitimate problem, people here will jump out of the woodwork to give you a hand. Some of you even go the extra mile -- to the point of being inspiring. It's refreshing to see that in today's troll-infested world.
I stop in here every day to laugh, become informed, learn something new, get opinions, and some things I've learned here have helped me advance my career, my family, and my life. I just wanted to say "Thanks" to all of you...in your own small ways, you make the world a better place.
