Time to droool.... Pic of R300 running on KT400

Nice post :-D

BTW, you linked to one picture, So people, just go to the main page, and look under news for the other pics.

If truth be told, it's not that much of a sexy looking card really...I prefer the GF4, especially the red or blue ones 😀

The pics don't show the area of the floppy power source, but I see that the memory is 350mhz from the last pic.

Scroll all the way down on the home page to get the other pics.

I'm quite sure that the floppy power source is only for the Tuner version and that the R300 pure won't have one.

Floppy Power Source : The connecter that provides power to your floppy drive. Smaller than the molex that goes to your DVD and HD. USed in this instance to provide extra juice to some aspect of the card because the AGP port apparently can't provide enough voltage.

Do I smell high clock speeds and overclocking?

Thanks for the info gregor 😀

Anyone remember the 3DFX Voodoo 5500 and 6000 series video cards? They used external sources of power, one from a external brick adaptor and another from an internal molex connector.

Basically, just supplying more juice. Even the Intel P4 does this. You noticed that most P4 boards require an external source of power via the new ATX 2.03 power connectors?
