Don’t forget giving pardons is an official act so the President and promise and grant pardons to anyone who carries out their orders no matter how illegal they may be.
Yes, that is the second part of the two step. The president is immune while giving the legal orders and is also immune when pardoning the people committing murders on his behalf.

Yep, he doesn’t even need the military now. Remember how he said to “stand down and standby”? Yea, now it’s kill and be pardoned, all official and nobody can do anything about it.

Are you now inciting a coup? Is this where you've ended up?

You flee arguments because you lack conviction. You hide behind humor and feign either ignorance, indifference, or frivolity to avoid following through with your own ideals.

He doesn’t care, it’s literally about the liberal tears for him. The bar is so low for conservatives they can’t tell their ass from their elbow

I know, but I want him to either respond, or slink off. Tired of seeing him smear shit around.

Well he's never going to change but some people should be the bigger people and say you know you were right to be concerned about Biden And his negatives including his age and mental competency. But we have a fucking election to win so pull yourself together man. And I Don't think he's capable of pulling himself together but be the bigger people. I also don't think some people are capable of recognizing all their bullshit about Biden either though.

Any bets on how long this stays a major story before we are back to "Biden is old" headlines?
They could cover Trump, his criming, and the partisan courts running cover for him, but everyone knows that, so let's run some more stories about "Dems in disarray per anonymous sources" and "Biden is old". Plus, the media can't create narratives - they told us so themselves.

I have responded.

It was not a coup incitement. Everyone in the echo chamber seems to think this is the final straw in our democracy and are all concerned to defend it. I asked if you were really ready to defend it by taking up arms. Obviously you're not there yet.

I don't flee arguments. It doesn't matter what I say you guys just fling shit like monkeys in a cage even when I agree with you. Shrug

I think you all are just pissey because the ruling by SCOTUS placed a damper and slowed down some of the indictments on Trump.

People who love their country and mean what they say don't flee at the drop of the hat, like yourself.
Don't need to flee, but need to also face reality.

The Chevron ruling, now immunity, and soon to be Project 2025 are all checkmate.

No amount of "resist" bumper stickers are going to change that.

It was absolutely a request to commit a coup.

Trump requested that Pence commit an illegal action so that Trump could retain power after losing an election. An attempt to take power by illegal means is by definition a coup. This is not complicated.

As per SCOTUS coups are now legal and that’s plain from the ruling.

You do have a president who can order assassinations without legal consequence though!
The court just created a power of the Presidency that even Putin doesn't possess. Putin has to have people fall out of windows. A President can shoot somebody on 5th Avenue as long as it's an official shooting of somebody on 5th Avenue.

Forgot all about pardons being an official act.

He did promise absolute immunity for police... probably extends to any citizen that does something egregious on his behalf.

To be clear it seems this ruling would require the president to order someone else in the executive branch to shoot the person.

When did I flee?

When are you taking up arms to right this horrible wrong?

Are you now inciting a coup? Is this where you've ended up?

The conversation went like the quoted above. (We weren't discussing Pence)

Lol I’d think Biden would take great pleasure in pulling the trigger himself

I'm not concerned about Trump specifically, I'm concerned about the next wanna be Hitler or Putin that conservatism seems to grow like fucking dandelions. The SC just handed free access to literally any action that can be argued in a court is part of official duties. Now think about your average shit-sucking lawyer and imagine where that leaves us when some real horror gets elected.

And yes, regardless of what you may think, Trump incited an attempt to interrupt a peaceful transfer of power.
