Vacation: 101 hours
Sick: 160 hours

I'm about to cash out on 80 hours of the sick time, doesn't count against me either, plus the $200 per quarter for not calling in is nice too.

They let you carry that over? My last couple of jobs wouldn't let you carry more than 250 hours over...at max.

I can carry 650 vacation, 75 CTO and unlimited sick leave. Most guys when they retire turn in 2000 hours of sick leave and get 1 years service credit.

Damn.....Anand must be pretty generous ;)

I get 120 hours this year, but it goes up to 140 next, IIRC. ATM, I have like 96 hours vacation time and can only carry over 40. Don't have "sick leave" per se, just don't get sick too much....(haven't yet this year). I also get 9 holidays each year.

Have 32 hours of vacation left for this year. Can use or carry over (until July 1st of next year).

Have 7 more holidays off (2 for Thanksgiving and 5 for Christmas, New Years Eve)

Will have 23 days addition starting in January (20 vacation days and 3 good attendance days).

Sick time for me is not really a day off. If I use one, I lose good attendance for that half of year and automatically lose the 2 good attendance days, so unless I'm going to be off for several days sick, it isn't worth losing. I'm not sure that I have a limit on sick time although I've heard it's up to the short term disability limit, whatever that is.

Lieu Days: 130
Annual: 8

I just started a new job last week so right now I have nothing.

Though I accrue 1.25 days of vacation each month, .42 sick days per month, and get 2 personal days each year. So that's 176 hours of PTO each year.

I am in the exact same boat. I am about 20 vacation hours in the hole, but will be even again near the end of december.

Mine is based on how much I work, if I pull a lot of OT, then I get mad amounts of hours. In the last 4 months or so I've accrued just under 60 hours worth of paid time off (we don't get "sick time" really, we get a set number of days we can call in per year without getting paid for them). I'm using about 40 of them in November when my parents come to see the grandkids, after that I'll just take a few here and there as I feel like it.

I think I've got 5 sick days that I'll probably never use.

I used all of my vacation time (3 days off in march to move, 1 week off in june for vacation, 2 days off in august for a wedding, and another week off in sept. for moving again).

none of our vacation/personal/sick time gets carried over from year to year.

128 vac
113 sick
20 comp
24 floating

The floats will expire at the end of 2007. The cap for vac time, I believe is 200 hours, so I'll probably need to start using them in about 8 months or so.

I get 200 hours per year; I have 123 accrued now. That does not count ST or LT medical leave.

In about one month, it will have been four (4) years since I worked last...

I miss the work I did and the camaraderie with the crews, but I don't miss the bullshit or the horrible daily commute.

maybe 1 hour of sick time

About 45 hours of vacation time.

Im concerned because Im putting in my two weeks notice tomorrow. Do companies have to pay you you're accrued vacation time upon resigning from your job?
