You seem to be shifting the sands in your argument. Are you arguing both laws weren't created to alleviate issues addressed primarily by the Black community through black advocacy (Bloody Sunday, Rosa Parks, March on Washington etc.)? Isn't that analogous to the "Black Lives Matter" campaign?

It doesn't matter who the laws ended up helping, as it doesn't change the impetus of the laws . The fact that the laws ushered in more equality subtracts even more from your argument.

I am sure your argument seems clear and obvious to you, but it is not to me.

Yes, both things were brought to the forefront of society because of issues that were primarily effecting blacks. The laws that came from that were for all to benefit, not just blacks. It is true that blacks were likely the ones who received the biggest benefit, as they were the group was the largest and widely abused, but that does not mean the law was only for them. The solution for systemic black racism is the same for ending all racism, which is to respect all equal peoples.

You don't treat blacks equally because its nice, but because they are equal and its just.

I can tell my argument isn't obvious to you. Honestly, I don't believe what you are arguing is clear to you. It seems to be shifting. So, why don't you rewrite the argument that led you to come into this thread.

My argument has been the same the entire time.

Some groups are treated differently by a racist culture.
That culture may be racist to one group then it is to other groups.
The solution for helping end racism is to get everyone to understand all races are equal.
It is a biological fact that all races are equal.
If you are going to make a law to help deal with racism, it should protect all groups equally.

Where do you disagree?
Explain where you think I have conflicting ideas.

You've officially shifted the sand. In that above argument you said nothing about "Black Lives Matter" which is what you were criticizing which this thread is about.

I am now totally lost. I have no idea why you think I have shifted, and your last post does not help me understand where you think I have shifted.

All lives matter, and to focus on just one group defeats that message.
 
Don't you get it realibrad? Police brutality and trampling of rights isn't the problem. Racism is the problem.
