Time for Walker to call in the National Guard

really? you really think the mob tonight isn't a leftist mob? This is MADISON we are talking about here. You might have 1 or 2 self proclaimed "independents" in the mix but really - you're going to attempt to argue the leaning of the mob? really?

It's umbrella. He never voices a direct opinion on anything political. He's in this thread to try and sound clever in his own head, nothing more.

The demonstration in that video seemed pretty civil to me, all things considered. It was like a big angry drum circle. This reflexive instinct to "call in the troops" is damaging to democracy. The last thing we need is more paramilitary police action. Let protests be, and see what happens.

It's not so much the protest as the location. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the people who work in that building stop by in the morning...

The location is the BEST part. There is no more appropriate place for a major protest than a state capitol. People who think that a job in the state capitol should be as mundane as a corporate 9-5 have no place working in government. That's Soviet thinking. If you're picking up trash in a state park, you've got a legitimate claim to a mundane, peaceful job. If you're a senator's secretary, house page, or a judge's clerk, you should feel blessed every day that a protest keeps you from work and doesn't involve paramilitary or military reprisals for the simple fact that you work for just such a government.

What do we do when we don't like what the government does? Shut it down. Repeat that 100 times, and then take it to the feds.

Where we go back to my original point. The Republicans should just throw up their hands, take extended vacations and let the government be shut down. I imagine most people will have a different view of the protesters (however many's left of them) after a few weeks or months of governmental shutdown.

I have nothing against protests in general, protests that hurt other people to make a point, directly or indirectly, is where I draw the line. A United States citizen has the right to freedom of assembly in public areas. You do not have the right to shut down the government whenever you feel like it.

Most here know i'm a pretty hardcore Conservative but posting as you do here does nothing for the cause you purport to support

Nothing anyone does here at ATP&N has any actual impact on anything 😛

It's just a little club where the extremists on both sides bitch at each other while the rest of Americans go about living their lives 😀

This thread reminds me of how big of a disgrace the average American is to the history and values that founded the country you guys inhabit.

Shame on (mostly) all of you. When intolerance and violence is used against anyone because they do things different then you it's not a good thing. Bad behavior does not beget more bad behavior.

go away already. There is no need for violence or suggestion of it. Sheesh, play into the left's hand much?

Comptr6 is a troll alt of someone here who can't actually put out a rational or logical argument to defend their views. Ignore what he says because every post he makes is absurdly extreme to the point of being comical but its obvious that he is trying to play into some stereotype conceived by a rabid left wing person on this site.

IF this report by a reporter is true and these thugs have started to destroy the Capital.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svsgvqyr0rQ&feature=player_embedded

Quite the display of tolerance by the peace loving left...

BTW, i have a friend who is a state trooper in Wisconsin who had to do duty in Madison today. I hope he's not one of the security who gets hurt by the mob or is one of the ones who may have let this happen by stepping aside. Yes, he's bought into the leftist bullshit and hates Walker but it doesn't mean he shouldn't do his job.

Too bad

The Capital no longer belongs to the people anyway

Yeah, and? You think all working class people support unions? Are you really that naive? even in Wisconsin a pretty liberal state that isn't the case. Sheesh.

storm troopers? give it a rest you moron - i've called for nothing except securing the public building since it was illegally overrun by the slumberparty folks.

Yes they DO support unions. Actually.
And there is something called freedom to assemble.
And I think there are quite a few people here that are just plain jealous of union members.
That has been the whole republican strategy, divide the classes against each other.
Let hate and jealousy and fear do their dirty work. You hear this division attempt constantly on right wing talk radio AND tv. And by your postings, its working and you're sucked in.
This is what they do... Pure evil.
I'd bet if you were offered union membership, you'd zip pity doo dah to sign on the dotted line.
Problems is with all this, is in reality there are "too few" people that have the option to join unions.
Ever heard of ANY union member complaining they are in one of those awful commie unions and want out?
No.....? I didn’t think so...
People are NOT protesting to get out of their union.
They are protesting to protect their union & rights.
DUH.....

I'm not sure they were done cleaning up the shit from the last time this bunch occupied the capitol. Oh, and when I say shit I mean it literally. Taking a shit on the floor of the capitol building - animals do that.

Hope nobody wore their good shoes.

Yeah that's my mistake, I'm used to posting on freerepublic so I'm not used to worrying about hurting the feelings of the leftards. I'll take your advice and stop being honest.

You're a freeper and you figured out how to use another website, amazing.

Looks like you beat me to it, my thoughts exactly.

i agree nonlnear. protesting is our right as americans. that cannot be disputed. bring in force would only cause far more problems.

go back there then. Most here know i'm a pretty hardcore Conservative but posting as you do here does nothing for the cause you purport to support, but rather gives ammo to the leftist morons who think Conservatives are full of hate. This thread is a demonstration of how the left is hateful/out of control, we don't need your BS to change the direction of the spotlight.

Cad, that moron is not a conservative, it's a stupid parody account. Just take solace in the knowledge that shithead is really a chin dribbling fucktard who is too intellectually impotent to engage in honest discourse. In other words, a typical liberal.

The union supporters have a right to peacefully assemble and protest.

If they want to scream slogans at the elected officials, they have a right to.

If they threaten the elected officials, then the police should remove them from the building.

For example - "You putrid human being, we're going to recall you and destroy your party before they trample any more rights" - perfectly fine

"I'm going to kill you" - throw them out, potentially arrest them to let them cool off.
