For cryin' out loud, why do people still use checks when paying at the supermarket, particularly in the express lane???? I mean, there are so many better ways to pay now than with a check. And geebus, if you're gonna use a check as a form of payment, please PLEASE have everything but the amount filled out before you get to the d@mned checkstand.

This old dude at the local supermarket today paid with a check in the express lane! It took him 5 friggin' minutes just to write the thing. As I was standing in line, I saw EVERYONE in the lane next to me (not an express lane) go out the door. All I wanted was my lunch, one item.

I find the express lane at the grocery store in the mall next to work is always the slowest one there. Seems like most who use it are the ones who take the longest.

Ever been stuck behind someone writing a check at the GAS STATION??????

Some chick was doing this yesterday, and of course the clerk had no clue on how to take it. It must have been a good ten minutes before the chick finally left. Every checking account I have had has came with a debit card. I use that.

For cryin' out loud, why do people insist on spelling cheque like check? Alot of old people use archaic payment methods because it's what they've done their whole lives, and many have a huge distrust of debit cards. Those same old people are the ones who only do transactions through the tellers, no exceptions.

I distrust checks over debit cards. And here in America, we spell it check, not cheque, I use that spelling because it's how the bank spells it and I figure they'd know. Plus, I have a Checking account, not a Chequing account.

I still wish for the day that businesses decide to not take checks at all. If you have a checking account you can get a Check Card and use that. 100 times faster...

Seriously! IDIOTS STOP USING CHECKS/CHEQUES PLEASE.

Canada, in its wisdom, stopped this trend a while ago, but there are still a lot of money-less bums down here without credit cards or the basic technological skills to operate an ATM. MORONS.

old people can't remember their PIN numbers

having them mess it up 11ty times in a row will end up taking longer than having them write a check
