I currently have one of the older 60gb ipod videos. It has served me decently well (starting to crap out now) but I'm not a huge fan of the software. Is there anything out there with good form factor, function, FM radio, etc. that can compete pretty well with the iPod?

I'm not completely against getting another iPod just wondering what high quality alternatives are out there. All in one device is preferred (music, video,FM, maybe even a browser)

Just took a look at the 16GB touch and it comes close to fitting the bill other than the lack of FM radio. Is there anything similar to this out there?

The creative Zen Xi-Fi is pretty nice. It does music, video and FM. The software on that one kind of sucks too, but you can just use windows explorer if you want and copy stuff over like it's another mass storage device.

The Archos WiFi series can be upgraded to have an Opera web browser (which costs $30 to install as I recall).
Something like this:

The N8XX series from Nokia has a browser - with Flash support - and a GPS. But it doesn't have a lot of space.

If it doesn't need to surf the web, then the Zune 120 has FM, Wifi (for wireless transfers), a nice screen for videos, and is relatively inexpensive.

The Cowon D2 is a very nice flash touchscreen device. It supports more formats then anything out there, supports decent video (if you like that), and has great sound quality. It's available up to 16gig and has an SD port for extra space. I'm getting as soon as I can.

Thanks for the info guys. Checked out the ones they had at best buy (touch and zune). I like the zune overall (functions and capacity) but I love the touch screen. The lack of fm may be the killer though because I listed to a lot of radio at work. Anyone know if the fm tuner I bought for my classic will interact with the touch? Also, what is the rough size of a movie formatted for the touch? 700mb or so?

the zune 120 is seriously kickass. with fm built in. big screen, tactile controls - squircle>wheel

all the movies you would want to store plus a ton of music on 120gb.

The Ipod Touch is awesome. I got the Gen 2 recently and I've barely used my Zune 80 since. I listen to a lot FM radio too (mainly for talk/news) if you have WIFI at work there are a lot of radio apps for the Touch that may let you stream the stations you listen to. I use aol radio and fly cast. I just can't get my local NPR station :( .
