In order to control flame-war threads, may I suggest that the Mods create some sort of Cyber-Nuke to wipe them off the face of the forum.

Half of this thread is a batlle royale. Could you please do something to regulate these problems?

Well, if implemented, my suggestion to allow thread-starters to block certain posters from posting in that thread, and/or "hide" their posts, would allow the rest of the viewers to avoid having to read half of the posts, which are nothing more than the NV fanboys flaming bar81 for no reason other than to just knee-jerk flame, because they felt that their precious NV cards were being insulted. If the mods are going to nuke anything though, can you leave the posts with technical info (including some of mine), please? I made a big post near the middle of the thread explaining the potential performance liabilities of a throughput-oriented heavily-pipelined architecture when you add dynamic-branching operations into the mix.

except that people could also censor points of view that they disagree with just because they disagree with them. deleting users posts is not for the common forummer, but for mods only. Id be more inclined to enjoy the rating system that is being looked into so that a threshold can be set to limit what crap you see or allow you to see everything

In all fairness ATI owners are acting with equal heartlessness.

Additionally OP: You simply popping into the thread every couple of posts and saying that the post needs to be nuked probably doesn't help anything.

My suggestion is for the Mods to give me the powers to do as I see fit. There would be less flaming if RossMAN and I were the only ones allowed to post.

There would be no flaming as I contribute maybe 2 posts a month in Video forum?

Besides it's no secret you're already a Mod ;)

yes, funny how OP attempts to incite the flames and then posts in FI.

and allowing thread starters to block posts is a bad idea. at the least it will just cause bunches of contradictory, equally one-sided posts to crop up as counter points.

edit-hope i'm not misunderstanding your intent Larry, it's late.
