lol, no. it's not a company yet. I've just been getting a few freelance jobs, and need to have a nice website with my portfolio.

First, never make a post asking for domain advice and posting what you're considering - someone out there is an asshat and will register those in an effort to sell them to you. Someone once posted some domain names and asked which to go with, they were then put under my company's nameservers to try and make it look like it was me - I have my suspicions of who it might be.

I would recommend asking a few AT'ers over PM that you can trust.

As for how to pick - think about the geographical location and maybe something simple. If you're in Antartica, how about antarticwebdesign.com? That's easy to remember.

The shorter and easier to remember, the better. 1-800 numbers have 7 digits, if you can find a company name with 7 letters, that's a definite plus for branding. Grab a book or something and see what they have to say on this topic.

Thanks for the recommendations... aga... I don't really have many "friends" on ATOT that I can ask. I just registered munkeydesign.com cuz i figured some asshat would steal it. I'm about to register imays.com just cuz i can probably use it for something else. Which would you recommend out of the two? I'm ready to register right now. I gotta get the ball rolling on this immediately. I'm adding you to my friends list because you seem like a stand up dude.

I just bought all three, but you can have the winner of the poll for a cool bean.

Imays.com is good, out of the other two I think propermotive is good.

Feel free to drop me a PM if you have any questions regarding this or other web hosting/design related questions. :)

I'm sorry but propermotive.com sounds like, at least to me, some religious do-gooder website, not the name of a web design company.
